’The Rent Party’’ Musical Revue A new musical revue created by and starring Parlor Social (Dessy Di Lauro & Ric’key Pageot) which embodies the perfect mélange of live music, dance, performing arts, 1930’s speakeasy club-like approach in a modern theatrical environment. Having toured with major artists such as Madonna, Cher and Cirque du Soleil, Di Lauro and Pageot bring to the table their combined experiences of working with the best in the business to introduce their new musical ‘The Rent Party’, a follow up to their successful Las Vegas residency show ‘The Jamboree’ at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino.
The Rent Party’s story lines include a variety of relatable subject matters to residents of the City of Inglewood along with a twist of comedy co-written by Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award winning writer, Ali LeRoi (writer for Chris Rock) and award-nominated actress Eva La Dare. The Experience A retro-futuristic fusion of 1930’s inspired Harlem Renaissance culture and contemporary urban themes. The evening is filled with raw energy, surprise performances, unscripted interactive and engaging plots. No two-shows will be identical.
