1/19/21 – Just as Avila is the spirit of Morelos, The Cuernavaca is its’ signature cocktail, named after the state’s capital. Created by Morelos native (and owner of Cuernavaca cocktail bar Pichirilo) Christian Rubio, this drink aims to be a classic as popular as the Margarita or the Paloma, but taste twice as good. Simple and beautifully fresh, The Cuernevaca is packed full of flavor but still lets the Avila be the star of the show.
Every spirit has its signature cocktail. The Margarita is to tequila, as the Mojito is to rum, and the Moscow Mule is to vodka. These iconic drinks all have their origins and eventually became the cocktails we all love and sip on today. That being said, we wanted Avila to have a signature cocktail of its own, one crafted in…
“It’s encouraging to see, especially for the growth of the agave spirits category, is a budding connoisseurship among consumers looking to expand their palates,” – Revel’s Micah McFarlane.
“As 2020 comes to a close, no other gift is better equipped to help you forget the year that was than a bottle of distilled agave.”
11/11/20 – It’s been a year… We all need a little escape, so it was fortunate that our good friend Patrick Frohoff from Koreatown’s The Line Hotel met up with us at one of our favorite LA bars, The Semi-Tropic. For example, Avila’s cousin, tequila, is protected by its own Denomination of Origin which is defined by a very…
“Tequila and mezcal are some of the hottest spirits around right now. SB finds out if the likes of sotol, raicilla, bacanora and avila could follow in their wake and become equally appealing to drinkers.” https://www.thespiritsbusiness.com/2020/10/the-alternative-agave-spirits-vying-for-consumer-attention/
So excited that Shalwah Evans from Essence.com decided to include Revel Avila in her special day. She and her wedding guests had only great things to say about it, “A party ain’t a party if you don’t have tequila. But you can’t call Revel’s triple distilled 100 percent pure agave tequila. It’s more like magic in a bottle.” https://www.essence.com/lifestyle/food-drinks/black-owned-spirits-brands-pandemic-wedding/
